a great explanation of how our culture is a rape culture. i think sometimes people don’t understand what that means because they think, “no, rape is crime!” but we eroticize and normalize coercion and assault in all our media, fiction, advice, reporting.
anyway, great article and i think everyone should read it, though a sexual assault trigger warning should be heeded. there is frank talk and some intense images.
